23rd March 2021, I was alone in the room; preparing for one of the semester exams; the last paper for that session. While on it, I got distracted at some point. A good one though 😊 So I found myself smiling and grinning widely 😁, weird right? 🙄 Well, you won't blame me; It was a glimpse into the future 🤭, A plethora of beautiful images of what would become of me after school. Worth the smile right? 🤭
Still in that realm, a new scene popped up; here, I was seen contemplating the course I would take up for my master's; just then I heard the voice of Abba. This time, he spoke through my mind, it was clear. He said to me, "you can spend 30 years pursuing what you love but it's never my will for you" immediately, I picked up my pen. Lecture time 🤔. Right there and then, He revealed to me what he would have me do, the program I should take up for my master's, and how it aligns with my purpose.
After the session with him, I was wowed! 😱, and I said to myself, "all this while, I thought I've even discovered purpose". It then dawned on me that this thing called purpose sometimes unfolds as one advance in life. interesting 🤭. Immediately I dashed out of the room; my brother David was the first person I shared this experience with. Hope you can still remember sir?
Lesson:
That you are successful does not necessarily mean you've discovered purpose.
Read again 🖕
That you are flourishing in business does not mean you are on the path of destiny.
You may be doing well in a particular discipline but it may not really be where God wants you to be.
Riches, fame, influence, power, cars, children, and possessions do not connote purpose.
We've seen and heard of people who died regretting while on their dying bed though successful during their lifetime.
They had every good thing life could offer them. But the big question is "why the emptiness, misery, and pain?"
Perhaps, you may be asking; What then brings fulfillment in life?
I'll need you to understand that your fulfillment in life is dependent on your becoming and doing what you were born to be and do. Anything less makes life meaningless, a threat, and an enemy to you.
It is essential, crucial, vital, and necessary that you understand this fundamental principle of purpose and pursue it with all you've got.
Time wastage and waste of resources are palpable disadvantages of doing what you were not called to do.
I repeat success does not in any way connote purpose discovery. That's a fallacy, absolute delusion, and falsehood.
You can be termed successful only when you are inside purpose not outside.
Discover why you are here.
Purpose comes with the question why?
Why am I here?
To answer the above question, then you must go back to your creator. He has the blueprint for your life.
Many of you need a formal introduction of yourself.
And only God can introduce you to you.
I leave you with words from a great mentor.
The greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a reason. It is dangerous to be alive and not know why you were given life.
~ Dr. Myles Munroe.
Be purposeful!
